So your Getting Married

First and foremost. Congratulations! This is a very exciting time for you.

One of my favourite things to do is to be given the chance to write another couple's love story.

I cannot wait to write yours.

Here is a list of the Top 3 things you should make sure the celebrant you choose is right for you.

1. You need to have a good rapport with your celebrant. When you meet with them, ask yourself if you would like to have a drink or a meal with them.

2. Well organised. If the celebrant you meet seems unorganised, it means, they are.

There is a lot of paperwork that requires submission and correct completion.

3. Ask about fees. The price of a celebrant varies widely - from $450 to $1500..... depending on the popularity of the celebrant and their experience. Ask what you get for the fees they are charging and find out what exactly what you get for your money. You want the fee to include at least one consultation, preparation of, and performance of, one ceremony on your wedding day, a rehearsal if requested, submission of all paperwork. Make sure you know about all the other 'extra costs they may not tell you about till later..

These three are the important ones. If you'd like some more helpful suggestions, I'd love to hear from you.
